MOLDED CASE CIRCUIT BREAKER (MCCB): Spectra RMS* Electronic Trip
Interchangeable Rating Plugs
Field-Installed Breaker Accessories
Application Focused Time-Current Characteristics
Higher Interrupting Capacities
Limited Availability
Spectra RMS Molded Case Circuit Breakers (SE150, SF250, SG600 and SK1200) have a digital, solid state, RMS sensing trip system with field installable, front-mounted rating plugs to establish or change the breaker ampere rating. Adjustable instantaneous with tracking short-time is standard on all frames. The trip unit uses digital sampling to determine the RMS value of sinusoidal and non-sinusoidal currents.
Spectra RMS Molded Case Circuit Breakers with microEntelliGuard* Trip Units (SG600 and SK1200) offer flexible system protection, metering and communication options required on the most advanced electrical systems. Fully adjustable time-current curves (with three long-time curve shapes; MVT I2t, CB, and Fuse I4t) and optional protective relays provide optimal system coordination and protection. In addition to standard metering, the microEntelliGuard trip units are available with ground fault alarm, Reduced Energy Let-Through (RELT), Zone Selective Interlocking (ST/GF/INST), neutral protection, waveform capture, programmable output contacts, advanced metering and direct Modbus communications for integration with EnerVista Viewpoint power system monitoring software. The microEntelliGuardTM trip unit uses the same universal rating plugs and test kit offered for the EntelliGuard TU trip unit as well as common internal accessories used across the entire Spectra RMS family of molded case circuit breakers.
The Extended Instantaneous (Selective) versions of the SK1200 with microEntelliGuard (SKS and SKT) offer all of the features of the standard microEntelliGuard circuit breakers, while adding higher Selective Instantaneous pickups (to 25.5x sensor). GE’s waveform recognition Selective Instantaneous allows microEntelliGuard trip units to sense the operation of current limiting devices below, thereby allowing optimum protection settings. When coupled with GE current limiting devices downstream and other Instantaneous Zone Selective Interlock (I-ZSI) capable devices upstream, circuit breakers equipped with EntelliGuard family trip units, including Spectra with microEntelliGuard provide selective coordination without sacrificing arc flash risk.

Application Flexibility
Minimum Downtime
NEMA Standard
In switchboards, motor control centers and lighting and in power panelboards. GE by ABB molded case circuit breakers are being used to provide reliable circuit protection. Molded case circuit breakers in individual enclosures are also being used in numerous applications.
Downtime is reduced and fuse replacement is eliminated with circuit breakers. In case of overload or short circuit, the breaker trips, opening the circuit and protecting the conductors. When normal conditions are restored, the breaker can be closed (“ON”) again.
Features and Benefits
- Molded Case
- Thermal Magnetic Trip
- Proven Reliability
- Provide Cost effective Solutions
- Multiple types to fit in your application
